Jeanette Landre was born on May 12, 1985, in Paris, France. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Landre showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. As a child, Landre studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, where she received rigorous training in classical music. She quickly became known for her exceptional talent and was soon performing in concerts and competitions throughout France. In 2001, Landre won first prize in the prestigious Menuhin Competition, which is considered one of the most important competitions for young violinists. This win launched her career and she began performing internationally, receiving critical acclaim for her virtuosic playing and musicality. Over the years, Landre has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with many of the world's leading conductors, such as Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, and Gustavo Dudamel. One of Landre's most memorable performances was at the 2012 Proms in London, where she performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Her performance was hailed as "spellbinding" and "mesmerizing" by critics and audiences alike. In addition to her performances as a soloist, Landre is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with many of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. Throughout her career, Landre has received numerous awards and accolades for her playing. In 2010, she was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which is given to outstanding young musicians who show exceptional promise for a career in classical music.
