TeTraVersi Flute Quartet is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 in Italy. The quartet consists of four talented flutists, namely, Federica Lotti, Martina Borghini, Silvia Careddu, and Veronica Urlic. The ensemble has gained recognition for its unique sound and innovative approach to classical music. The quartet's founding members, Federica Lotti and Martina Borghini, met while studying at the Conservatory of Music in Florence, Italy. They shared a passion for the flute and a desire to explore the possibilities of the instrument in a chamber music setting. They soon recruited Silvia Careddu and Veronica Urlic, both accomplished flutists, to complete the quartet. TeTraVersi Flute Quartet's name is derived from the Italian words "tetrachord" and "versatile," which reflect the ensemble's versatility and ability to perform a wide range of musical styles. The quartet's repertoire includes classical works, contemporary pieces, and original compositions. Since its founding, TeTraVersi Flute Quartet has performed in numerous prestigious venues and festivals around the world. In 2013, the quartet was invited to perform at the prestigious Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy. The following year, they performed at the Flute Festival in Paris, France, where they received critical acclaim for their performance of contemporary works. In 2015, TeTraVersi Flute Quartet was awarded first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Osaka, Japan. The quartet's performance of Mozart's Flute Quartet No. 1 in D major impressed the judges with its technical precision and musicality. The award helped to establish the quartet as one of the most promising young ensembles in the classical music world. In addition to their performances, TeTraVersi Flute Quartet is also committed to music education. The quartet regularly conducts masterclasses and workshops for young musicians, sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation of flutists.
