He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a classical pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Martin showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Martin's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Royal Irish Academy of Music when he was six years old. He studied under some of the most renowned piano teachers in Ireland and quickly became known for his exceptional talent. By the time he was a teenager, Martin had won several national and international piano competitions. In 2003, Martin was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2007. During his time at Juilliard, Martin won several awards and performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. After graduating from Juilliard, Martin began his professional career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained a reputation for his technical skill and emotional depth in his performances. Martin's repertoire includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Beethoven, Chopin, and Mozart. In 2010, Martin was invited to perform at the International Piano Festival in Moscow. His performance was met with critical acclaim, and he was awarded the festival's top prize. This performance launched Martin's international career, and he began performing in concert halls all over the world. In 2012, Martin released his debut album, which featured works by Beethoven and Chopin. The album was a commercial success and received rave reviews from critics. Martin's second album, released in 2015, featured works by Mozart and Schubert and was also well-received. Throughout his career, Martin has collaborated with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed with some of the most celebrated conductors, including Gustavo Dudamel and Simon Rattle. In addition to his performing career, Martin is also a dedicated teacher.
