Gabriel V Brass Quintet is a classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with their unique sound and exceptional performances for over a decade. The quintet was founded in 2009 by five talented musicians who shared a passion for brass music and a desire to create something special. The founding members of Gabriel V Brass Quintet are Gabriel Vivas on trumpet, David Vivas on trumpet, Juan Carlos Quintero on horn, Luis Fernando Ruiz on trombone, and Carlos Gil on tuba. All five members are highly skilled musicians who have studied at some of the most prestigious music schools in the world, including the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music in London. The ensemble's name is a tribute to Gabriel Vivas, who is not only one of the founding members but also the group's artistic director. Gabriel Vivas is a renowned trumpet player who has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. He is also a highly respected music educator who has taught at the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. Since its founding, Gabriel V Brass Quintet has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The ensemble has also been invited to perform at numerous music festivals, both in the United States and abroad. Some of the highlights of the group's performances include their appearance at the International Trumpet Guild Conference in 2012, their performance at the Festival Internacional de Música de Cartagena de Indias in Colombia in 2014, and their performance at the Festival de Música de Cámara de Aguascalientes in Mexico in 2016. In addition to their live performances, Gabriel V Brass Quintet has also released several critically acclaimed recordings. Their debut album, "Gabriel V Brass Quintet," was released in 2011 and features a mix of classical and contemporary works.
