From a young age, Machi showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Machi's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Conservatory of Naples at the age of six. He studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent piano teachers in Italy, including Maria Tipo and Aldo Ciccolini. Machi's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated with honors from the conservatory at the age of 18. After completing his studies, Machi began performing in concerts across Italy and Europe. He quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist, known for his technical skill and emotional depth. In 2005, he won first prize at the prestigious International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland, cementing his status as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. Over the next few years, Machi continued to perform in concerts and recitals around the world. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2008, receiving critical acclaim for his performance of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32. In addition to his solo performances, Machi also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. He worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic, among others. He also performed under the baton of renowned conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, and Zubin Mehta. Machi's repertoire was vast and varied, ranging from classical works by Bach and Mozart to contemporary pieces by living composers. He was particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and his recordings of their music received widespread critical acclaim. Throughout his career, Machi received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to classical music. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious International Classical Music Award for his recording of Chopin's complete Nocturnes. He was also named a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2012, in recognition of his achievements in the arts. Despite his success, Machi remained humble and dedicated to his craft. He continued to practice for hours every day, always striving to improve his technique and interpretation.
