Alexander Frankel was born on May 12, 1985, in Moscow, Russia. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Alexander was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. At the age of six, Alexander began studying at the Moscow Conservatory, where he received rigorous training in piano performance and music theory. He quickly showed exceptional talent and was soon performing in concerts and competitions throughout Russia. In 1996, Alexander and his family moved to the United States, where he continued his musical education at the Juilliard School in New York City. He studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2007. After graduating from Juilliard, Alexander began performing in concerts and recitals throughout the United States and Europe. He quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist, known for his technical skill and emotional depth. One of Alexander's most notable performances was at the 2010 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He performed Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and received a standing ovation from the audience. In addition to his solo performances, Alexander has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
