From a young age, Covert showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. Covert's parents recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied piano under the tutelage of renowned pianist, Yoheved Kaplinsky. Covert's talent and dedication to her craft quickly became apparent, and she graduated with honors in 2007. After completing her studies at Juilliard, Covert began performing professionally. She quickly gained a reputation as a talented and versatile pianist, capable of playing a wide range of musical styles. Her performances were praised for their technical precision, emotional depth, and musicality. Covert's career took off in 2009 when she won the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. The competition, which is held every four years, is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. Covert's victory was a major milestone in her career, and it helped to establish her as one of the leading pianists of her generation. Following her victory at the Van Cliburn Competition, Covert began performing extensively throughout the United States and Europe. She played with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
