Karin Strobos is a Dutch mezzo-soprano who has established herself as one of the most versatile and exciting classical music artists of her generation. Born on May 28, 1983, in Amsterdam, Strobos grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to classical music from a young age. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a conductor, so it was only natural that Strobos would follow in their footsteps. Strobos began her musical education at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she studied with Margreet Honig. She later continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she worked with Rita Dams.
