I Fedeli is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2003 by a group of musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Italy and is known for its dynamic performances and innovative programming. The founding members of I Fedeli were violinist Federico Guglielmo, cellist Gaetano Nasillo, and harpsichordist Andrea Coen. All three musicians had extensive experience performing with other ensembles and were highly respected in the classical music community. From the beginning, I Fedeli set out to explore the rich repertoire of chamber music from the Baroque and Classical periods. The ensemble's name, which means "the faithful ones," reflects their commitment to performing this music with authenticity and passion. Over the years, I Fedeli has expanded its repertoire to include works from the Romantic and contemporary periods as well. The ensemble's performances are characterized by their energy, precision, and expressive power. One of the highlights of I Fedeli's career was their performance at the Festival de Musique Baroque de Pontoise in France in 2005. The ensemble's program, which included works by Vivaldi, Bach, and Handel, was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience and critical acclaim from the press. In 2007, I Fedeli released their debut album, "Sonate a tre," which featured works by Corelli, Vivaldi, and Tartini. The album was praised for its technical excellence and emotional depth, and helped to establish the ensemble as one of the leading chamber music groups in Italy. In 2010, I Fedeli was invited to perform at the prestigious Festival de Musique de La Chaise-Dieu in France. The ensemble's program, which included works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, was hailed as a triumph by both the audience and the critics. In addition to their performances, I Fedeli is also committed to education and outreach. The ensemble regularly gives masterclasses and workshops for young musicians, and has collaborated with schools and community organizations to bring classical music to a wider audience. I Fedeli has received numerous awards and accolades over the years, including the prestigious Premio Abbiati in 2012. This award, which is given by the Italian Association of Music Critics, recognizes excellence in the field of classical music. Today, I Fedeli continues to perform and record music from a wide range of periods and styles. The ensemble's commitment to excellence and innovation has made them one of the most respected and beloved chamber music groups in Italy and beyond.More....
