Aron Gestner was a renowned classical music artist who made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on June 12, 1950, in Vienna, Austria, to a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. Aron showed an interest in music from a young age and began playing the piano at the age of four. Aron's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He received his formal training at the Vienna Conservatory, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent music teachers of the time. He excelled in his studies and graduated with honors. After completing his studies, Aron began his career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe. His performances were highly acclaimed, and he soon became known as one of the most talented pianists of his generation. In 1975, Aron made his debut in the United States, performing at the Lincoln Center in New York City. His performance was a huge success, and he was invited to perform at several other venues across the country. He quickly gained a following in the United States and became a regular performer at some of the most prominent concert halls in the country. Over the course of his career, Aron performed with some of the most renowned orchestras in the world, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He was particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Franz Liszt, and his performances of Liszt's music were highly acclaimed. In addition to his performances, Aron was also a prolific recording artist. He recorded numerous albums throughout his career, many of which received critical acclaim. His recordings of the works of Liszt were particularly well-received, and he was widely regarded as one of the best interpreters of Liszt's music. Throughout his career, Aron received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the world of music. In 1982, he was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, and in 1990, he was awarded the Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria. He was also a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. Despite his success, Aron remained humble and dedicated to his craft.
