Trygve Aarvik was a Norwegian classical music artist who was born on May 12, 1923, in Bergen, Norway. He was the youngest of three children born to his parents, who were both musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Aarvik showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Aarvik began his musical education at the age of six, when he started taking piano lessons. He quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument, and by the age of ten, he was already performing in public. In 1935, he won his first piano competition, which was held in Bergen. This victory marked the beginning of a long and successful career in music. In 1941, Aarvik moved to Oslo to study at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
