Born in Quebec City, Canada, on May 10, 1972, Losier grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec and later at the Université Laval, where she earned a degree in music. Losier's career began to take off in the early 2000s, when she won several prestigious singing competitions, including the Montreal International Musical Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels.
