Clemence Comte is a French classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a talented harpist. Born in 1992 in Paris, France, Comte grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a cellist, so it was only natural that she would develop an interest in music at a young age. Comte began playing the harp when she was just six years old. She quickly fell in love with the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned harpist Isabelle Moretti. Moretti recognized Comte's talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Comte continued to study the harp throughout her childhood and teenage years. She attended the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she studied under the guidance of Isabelle Moretti and Fabrice Pierre. She also studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, Germany, where she worked with renowned harpist Helga Storck. Comte's hard work and dedication paid off when she won several prestigious awards and competitions. In 2010, she won first prize at the International Harp Competition in Szeged, Hungary. She also won first prize at the International Harp Competition in Bloomington, Indiana in 2012. Comte's talent and hard work have led to many opportunities to perform on some of the world's most prestigious stages. She has performed as a soloist with the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and the Munich Chamber Orchestra, among others. One of Comte's most memorable performances was at the 2014 World Harp Congress in Sydney, Australia. She performed a solo recital that was widely praised for its technical skill and emotional depth. The performance was so well-received that she was invited to perform at the 2017 World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. Comte is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with many renowned musicians, including cellist Gautier Capuçon and violinist Renaud Capuçon. She is a member of the Trio Polycordes, a chamber music ensemble that specializes in contemporary music. In addition to her performing career, Comte is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Boulogne-Billancourt. She is also a frequent guest teacher at harp festivals and masterclasses around the world. Comte's talent and dedication to her craft have earned her many accolades and awards. In 2016, she was awarded the Prix de la Fondation de France, which recognizes young artists who show exceptional promise.
