They quickly formed a bond over their shared passion for chamber music and decided to form a quartet. The ensemble's name, Indaco, is Italian for indigo, a color that represents the quartet's desire to create music that is both vibrant and deep. Quartetto Indaco has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. They have also performed at numerous festivals, such as the Salzburg Festival, the Lucerne Festival, and the Ravenna Festival. The quartet is known for their innovative programming, which often includes lesser-known works by contemporary composers. They have collaborated with several composers, including Salvatore Sciarrino, who wrote a piece specifically for Quartetto Indaco. In addition to their performances, Quartetto Indaco is also committed to music education. They have conducted masterclasses and workshops for young musicians in Italy and abroad.
