Artist Info
Ensemble Autarena is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for chamber music. The ensemble is based in Vienna, Austria, and is known for its innovative and dynamic performances of classical and contemporary music. The founding members of Ensemble Autarena were violinist Anna Maria Winkler, cellist Johannes Flieder, and pianist Christoph Traxler. All three musicians had studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and had already established themselves as talented performers in the Viennese music scene. From the beginning, Ensemble Autarena was committed to exploring new and unconventional approaches to chamber music. The ensemble's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, as well as contemporary pieces by living composers. One of the highlights of Ensemble Autarena's early career was their performance at the 2013 Salzburg Festival. The ensemble was invited to perform as part of the festival's "Young Talents" series, which showcases up-and-coming musicians from around the world. The performance was well-received by both audiences and critics, and helped to establish Ensemble Autarena as a rising star in the classical music world. In the years since their Salzburg Festival debut, Ensemble Autarena has continued to build a reputation for their innovative and engaging performances. The ensemble has performed at major venues and festivals throughout Europe, including the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Edinburgh International Festival. In addition to their live performances, Ensemble Autarena has also released several critically acclaimed recordings. Their debut album, "Viennese Classics," features works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, and was praised by critics for its "fresh and lively" interpretations of these classic pieces. Ensemble Autarena has also been recognized for their contributions to the classical music world with several awards and honors. In 2015, the ensemble was awarded the prestigious "Rising Stars" award by the European Concert Hall Organization, which recognizes young musicians who show exceptional talent and promise. Despite their success, the members of Ensemble Autarena remain committed to their original mission of exploring new and unconventional approaches to chamber music. The ensemble continues to push the boundaries of classical music with their innovative programming and dynamic performances, and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative ensembles in the classical music world today.More....
