Joy Hall was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Joy showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. Joy's parents recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied piano under the tutelage of renowned pianist, Martha Argerich.
