Tim Ries is a renowned saxophonist, composer, and arranger in the world of classical music. He was born on November 7, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a jazz pianist, and his mother was a classical pianist. Ries started playing the piano at the age of five and later switched to the saxophone when he was 10 years old.
