The Bonner Bach Gemeinschaft is a classical music ensemble that specializes in the performance of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The ensemble was founded in 1950 in Bonn, Germany, by a group of musicians who shared a passion for Bach's music and a desire to bring it to a wider audience. The founding members of the Bonner Bach Gemeinschaft included the conductor and harpsichordist Helmut Winschermann, the violinist Wolfgang Marschner, and the cellist Ludwig Harig. Over the years, the ensemble has had many different members, but it has always maintained a core group of musicians who are dedicated to the performance of Bach's music. One of the highlights of the Bonner Bach Gemeinschaft's early years was its performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion in 1954.
