Ensemble Vortex is a contemporary classical music ensemble based in Geneva, Switzerland. The ensemble was founded in 1997 by a group of young musicians who shared a passion for contemporary music and a desire to explore new sounds and techniques. The founding members of Ensemble Vortex were flutist Séverine Ballon, clarinetist Jérôme Combier, pianist Florent Jodelet, and percussionist Alexandre Babel.
