Alberto Caroldi was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Caroldi showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Caroldi's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Milan Conservatory at the age of six. He quickly excelled in his studies and began performing in public at the age of eight. By the time he was a teenager, Caroldi had already won several local and national piano competitions. In 2003, Caroldi was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. During his time at Juilliard, Caroldi continued to win awards and accolades, including the school's prestigious Concerto Competition. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Caroldi began performing professionally, both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber ensembles. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented and dynamic young pianists of his generation. In 2010, Caroldi was invited to perform at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world. He wowed the judges and audience alike with his virtuosic playing and was awarded the competition's top prize. Following his success at the Tchaikovsky Competition, Caroldi's career took off. He began performing with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, Caroldi released his debut album, a collection of works by Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. The album was a critical and commercial success, earning rave reviews and solidifying Caroldi's reputation as one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation. Over the years, Caroldi has continued to perform and record extensively, earning numerous awards and accolades along the way. He has also become a passionate advocate for music education, working with young musicians and serving as a mentor to aspiring pianists. Today, Caroldi is widely regarded as one of the greatest pianists of his generation, known for his technical virtuosity, musical sensitivity, and passionate performances.
