She studied at the Seoul National University and the New England Conservatory of Music, where she earned her Master of Music degree. Lee has won several awards and competitions, including the First Prize at the Korea Times Music Competition and the Second Prize at the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany. Joon Sung Jun, the cellist of Trio Apollon, was born in South Korea and began playing the cello at the age of seven. He studied at the Seoul National University and the New England Conservatory of Music, where he earned his Master of Music degree. Jun has won several awards and competitions, including the First Prize at the Korea Times Music Competition and the Second Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. Trio Apollon was founded in 2012, when Choi, Lee, and Jun were all studying at the New England Conservatory of Music. The trio quickly gained recognition for their exceptional performances, which showcased their technical skill and musical sensitivity. They have performed at numerous venues and festivals, including the Seoul Arts Center, the Boston Symphony Hall, and the Tanglewood Music Festival.
