She was born on 22nd September 1943 in the town of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Her parents were both musicians, and they encouraged her to pursue music from a young age. Stoyanka started playing the piano when she was just five years old, and by the time she was eight, she had already started playing the accordion. Stoyanka's talent was evident from a young age, and she quickly became a prodigy in her hometown. She was soon discovered by the Bulgarian State Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, and at the age of 12, she made her debut as a soloist with the orchestra.
