In 1914, Sanders moved to Paris to continue her musical studies at the Conservatoire de Paris. There, she studied composition with renowned composers such as Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy. She also studied piano with Alfred Cortot and chamber music with Jacques Thibaud. During her time in Paris, Sanders became involved in the city's vibrant artistic community. She collaborated with other artists and musicians, and her works were performed at various venues throughout the city. In 1920, Sanders moved to Monte Carlo, where she continued to compose and perform. She became known for her innovative approach to composition, incorporating elements of jazz and other popular music styles into her classical works. One of Sanders' most notable works is her Piano Concerto No. 1, which she composed in 1925. The concerto is a virtuosic showcase for the soloist, with intricate piano passages and lush orchestration. It was premiered in Monte Carlo to critical acclaim and has since become a staple of the piano concerto repertoire. Sanders also composed several chamber works, including a string quartet and a piano trio. Her chamber works are characterized by their lyrical melodies and intricate harmonies.
