Coppola e Il Suo Sestetto is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2015 by Italian composer and pianist, Francesco Coppola. The ensemble is made up of six members, including Francesco Coppola on piano, Marco Fiorini on violin, Fabrizio Mandolini on viola, Francesco Fiore on cello, Marco Ricci on clarinet, and Fabio Turchetti on bassoon. Francesco Coppola, the founder of the ensemble, was born in Naples, Italy in 1986. He began studying piano at the age of six and went on to study at the Conservatory of Music in Naples. He later continued his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Milan, where he earned a degree in composition. Coppola has won numerous awards for his compositions, including the International Composition Competition "2 Agosto" in Bologna, Italy. The ensemble's main members are all accomplished musicians in their own right. Marco Fiorini, the violinist, has performed with numerous orchestras and ensembles throughout Italy and Europe. Fabrizio Mandolini, the violist, has performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, among others. Francesco Fiore, the cellist, has performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, as well as with the London Symphony Orchestra. Marco Ricci, the clarinetist, has performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, among others. Fabio Turchetti, the bassoonist, has performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, as well as with the London Symphony Orchestra. Coppola e Il Suo Sestetto has performed at numerous venues throughout Italy and Europe, including the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. The ensemble has also performed at numerous music festivals, including the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy and the Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland. One of the highlights of the ensemble's performances was their concert at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan in 2017. The concert featured a program of works by Italian composers, including Coppola's own compositions. The concert was well-received by both the audience and critics, with one critic describing the ensemble's performance as "exquisite and refined." In addition to their performances, Coppola e Il Suo Sestetto has also won numerous awards for their recordings. Their debut album, "Coppola e Il Suo Sestetto," was released in 2016 and won the International Classical Music Award for Best Chamber Music Album. The album features works by Italian composers, including Coppola's own compositions.
