Duo Pianoworte is a classical music ensemble consisting of two pianists, Dr. Yvonne Chen and Dr. Sun-A Park. The ensemble was founded in 2012 and has since become known for their dynamic and expressive performances. Dr. Yvonne Chen is a pianist and educator based in Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. Dr. Chen has won numerous awards and competitions, including the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and the International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival. She has also performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the New West Symphony. Dr. Sun-A Park is a pianist and educator based in New York City. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Juilliard School and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. Dr. Park has won several awards and competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz and the New York International Piano Competition. She has also performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. The two pianists first met while studying at the Manhattan School of Music and quickly discovered a shared passion for chamber music. They formed Duo Pianoworte in 2012 and have since performed together extensively throughout the United States and Asia. One of the highlights of Duo Pianoworte's career was their performance at the 2014 Seoul International Music Festival. The festival is one of the largest and most prestigious music festivals in Asia, and Duo Pianoworte was one of only a handful of chamber music ensembles invited to perform. Their performance was met with critical acclaim, and they were invited back to the festival the following year. In addition to their performances, Duo Pianoworte is also committed to music education. They have given masterclasses and workshops at universities and music schools throughout the United States and Asia. They are also the founders of the Piano Institute of Los Angeles, which provides intensive training for young pianists. Duo Pianoworte has received numerous awards and accolades for their performances. In 2015, they were awarded the prestigious Beverly Hills Auditions Grand Prize, which recognizes outstanding young musicians.
