Baudouin De Jaer is a Belgian composer and violinist who was born on August 28, 1963, in Brussels, Belgium. One of De Jaer's most notable works is "Aide-Mémoire," a piece for solo violin that was premiered in 2005. The piece is based on a series of photographs that De Jaer took while traveling in North Korea. Each movement of the piece is inspired by a different photograph, and the music reflects the emotions and experiences captured in the images. Another notable work is "Piano Music for Children," a collection of short pieces that De Jaer composed for his daughter.
