She was born into a family of musicians, with her father being a renowned pianist and her mother a violinist. From a young age, Carlotta showed a keen interest in music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As she grew older, Carlotta's passion for music only intensified. She began studying at the Milan Conservatory, where she excelled in her studies and quickly gained a reputation as a talented pianist. Her performances at various concerts and competitions earned her numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Chopin Prize in 2003. In 2005, Carlotta was accepted into the Juilliard School in New York City, where she continued to hone her skills under the tutelage of some of the world's most renowned pianists. During her time at Juilliard, Carlotta's talent continued to shine, and she was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. One of Carlotta's most memorable performances was at the 2008 International Piano Competition in Moscow. Her performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 earned her a standing ovation from the audience and the judges, and she was awarded first prize in the competition. Over the years, Carlotta has continued to perform at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Sydney Opera House. She has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. In addition to her performances, Carlotta is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught masterclasses at various music schools and conservatories around the world, and many of her students have gone on to have successful careers in music. Throughout her career, Carlotta has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to classical music. In 2015, she was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an Italian citizen. She has also been awarded the Medal of Honor from the President of the Republic of Poland and the Order of Arts and Letters from the French government.
