He quickly progressed and started performing in public at the age of eight. At the age of ten, he started studying the violin with his mother, and by the age of twelve, he had already won several local competitions. In 1998, Henri was accepted into the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied both piano and violin. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented young musicians in France, and his performances were praised for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. In 2006, Henri won the first prize at the International Violin Competition in Paris, which launched his international career.
