Paramor began his musical career as a pianist and arranger for various dance bands in the 1930s. He worked with several popular bands, including the Ambrose Orchestra and the Ray Noble Orchestra. In the 1940s, he joined the Royal Air Force and served as a musician in the RAF Central Band. During his time in the RAF, he gained valuable experience in arranging and conducting music. After leaving the RAF, Paramor continued to work as an arranger and conductor for various orchestras and artists. He worked with several notable musicians, including Vera Lynn, Petula Clark, and Cliff Richard. He also composed music for films and television shows, including the popular British TV series, "The Benny Hill Show." In the 1950s, Paramor began working for the record label EMI as a producer and arranger. He produced several successful albums for artists such as Frank Ifield, Helen Shapiro, and Gerry and the Pacemakers. He also worked with the Beatles on their early recordings, including their first hit single, "Love Me Do." Paramor's work with EMI led to his involvement in the classical music world. He began conducting orchestras for EMI's classical recordings, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
