In 1991, Vallina was awarded a scholarship to study at the Hochschule für Musik in Hanover, Germany, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. He also began to establish himself as a performer, giving concerts throughout Europe and earning critical acclaim for his performances. In 1996, Vallina won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Senigallia, Italy, which marked a major turning point in his career. The win brought him international recognition and led to a series of high-profile performances, including appearances at the Berlin Philharmonic and the Salzburg Festival. Over the years, Vallina has become known for his passionate and expressive playing style, which is characterized by a deep emotional connection to the music. In 2003, he was awarded the prestigious Echo Klassik award for his recording of Chopin's complete Nocturnes.
