Megan Schubert is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the industry through her exceptional vocal abilities and captivating performances. Born on May 12, 1985, in New York City, Megan grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a very young age. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a cellist, and they both encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Megan started singing at the age of five and began taking formal vocal lessons when she was eight years old. She showed immense talent and dedication towards her craft, and her parents enrolled her in various music schools and programs to hone her skills. Megan attended the Juilliard School's Pre-College Division, where she received training in classical music and opera. In 2003, Megan graduated from the Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, which she completed in 2005. During her time at the Manhattan School of Music, Megan received the prestigious Richard F. Gold Career Grant, which helped her kickstart her career in the music industry. Megan's career took off when she won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2006. This was a significant achievement for her, as the competition is one of the most prestigious in the industry, and winning it is considered a major milestone for any classical music artist. Megan's victory in the competition earned her a spot in the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, where she received further training and mentorship from some of the most renowned opera singers and coaches in the world. Megan made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in 2008, where she played the role of the First Lady in Mozart's "The Magic Flute." Her performance was highly acclaimed, and she received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. This was just the beginning of Megan's successful career, and she went on to perform in various other operas and concerts around the world. Some of Megan's most notable performances include her portrayal of Mimi in Puccini's "La Boheme" at the San Francisco Opera, her role as Donna Anna in Mozart's "Don Giovanni" at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in England, and her performance as the Countess in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Metropolitan Opera. Megan has also performed in various concerts and recitals, including a solo recital at Carnegie Hall in 2012.
