Razvan Stoica is a Romanian classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a virtuoso violinist. Born on October 13, 1986, in Suceava, Romania, Razvan grew up in a family of musicians. His father, Ion Stoica, was a violinist, and his mother, Carmen Stoica, was a pianist. Razvan's older brother, Gabriel, is also a violinist, and the two brothers often perform together. Razvan began playing the violin at the age of five, and by the time he was eight, he was already performing in public. He studied at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where he was a student of Professor Mariana Sirbu. He later continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, where he studied with Professor Pavel Vernikov. Razvan's talent as a violinist was recognized early on, and he has won numerous awards and competitions throughout his career. In 2001, he won first prize at the National Violin Competition in Romania, and in 2004, he won first prize at the International Violin Competition "Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte" in the Czech Republic. In 2006, he won first prize at the International Violin Competition "Andrea Postacchini" in Italy, and in 2007, he won first prize at the International Violin Competition "Rodolfo Lipizer" in Italy. Razvan has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the National Orchestra of Belgium. He has also performed in many of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo. One of Razvan's most memorable performances was his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2012, where he performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the New York Youth Symphony. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Razvan was praised for his "dazzling technique" and "emotional depth." In addition to his solo career, Razvan is also a member of the Trio Rodin, along with his brother Gabriel and pianist Andreea Stoica. The trio has performed in many of the world's leading concert halls and has released several recordings, including an album of works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schumann. Razvan is also a passionate advocate for music education and has worked with many young musicians throughout his career.
