Gyldmark studied music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he was a student of the composer Carl Nielsen. He also studied with the composer Knud Jeppesen and the pianist Egon Petri. Gyldmark was a talented pianist and performed in concerts throughout Denmark. In the 1920s, Gyldmark began composing music for films. He wrote the music for several Danish films, including "The Golden Clown" (1926) and "The Viking" (1928). In 1930, he moved to Hollywood, where he worked as a composer for the film industry. He wrote the music for several Hollywood films, including "The Big Broadcast" (1932) and "College Rhythm" (1934). Gyldmark's most famous composition is the song "Always and Always," which he wrote for the film "The Big Broadcast" in 1932. The song became a hit and was recorded by several popular singers, including Bing Crosby and Rudy Vallee. Gyldmark also wrote the music for the song "Moonlight and Shadows," which was recorded by the singer Connee Boswell. In addition to his work in film music, Gyldmark also composed classical music.
