The choir was established by a group of parents who wanted to provide their children with an opportunity to learn and perform classical music. The choir is based in Manila, Philippines, and is composed of children aged 7 to 13 years old. The choir's main members are the children who make up the ensemble. In 2003, they won the Grand Prize at the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in the Children's Choir category. They also won the First Prize at the 2004 Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival in the Children's Choir category. Cantoria Children's Choir has also been recognized for their contributions to the community. They have performed in benefit concerts for various charitable organizations, including the Philippine Red Cross and the Philippine Cancer Society. They have also conducted outreach programs in schools and communities to promote the appreciation of classical music among children.
