Triton Trombone Quartet is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2012. The quartet is composed of four talented trombonists who have a passion for music and a desire to share their love of the trombone with audiences around the world. The members of the quartet are Joseph Alessi, David Finlayson, Mark Lawrence, and Blair Bollinger. Joseph Alessi is the principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic and has been a member of the orchestra since 1985. He is also a faculty member at The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. David Finlayson is the principal trombonist of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and has been a member of the orchestra since 2005. He is also a faculty member at The Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music. Mark Lawrence is the bass trombonist of the San Francisco Symphony and has been a member of the orchestra since 1999. He is also a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Blair Bollinger is the bass trombonist of the Philadelphia Orchestra and has been a member of the orchestra since 1987. He is also a faculty member at Temple University. The quartet has performed at many prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Royal Albert Hall. They have also performed with many renowned orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony.
