Janice Kapp Perry is a renowned composer of religious and classical music. She was born on December 12, 1938, in Ogden, Utah, to a musical family. Her father was a professional musician, and her mother was a singer and pianist. Perry grew up in a home filled with music, and she began playing the piano at the age of four. Perry's love for music continued to grow as she got older. She attended Weber State University, where she studied music and received a degree in piano performance.
