Orlando Otey was born on May 12, 1985, in New York City. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Otey showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As a child, Otey was exposed to a wide range of musical genres, but he was particularly drawn to classical music. He spent countless hours practicing and studying the works of great composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Chopin.
