Perencz's early musical education was at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he studied under the renowned violinist and pedagogue, Dénes Kovács. He quickly distinguished himself as a prodigious talent, winning numerous competitions and awards throughout his teenage years. After completing his studies at Juilliard, Perencz returned to Hungary, where he quickly established himself as one of the country's leading violinists. He became a member of the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and also began performing as a soloist with various orchestras throughout Europe. Perencz's breakthrough performance came in 2002, when he was invited to perform at the prestigious Salzburg Festival.
