Omer Meir Wellber is a renowned conductor and composer in the world of classical music. He was born on December 28, 1981, in Be'er Sheva, Israel. Wellber grew up in a musical family, with his father being a composer and his mother a pianist. He began playing the piano at the age of five and later learned to play the violin and the trumpet. Wellber's passion for music led him to study at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he received his Bachelor's degree in composition and conducting. In 2015, Wellber was appointed as the principal conductor of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Manchester, England. He held this position until 2019 and conducted many successful concerts and recordings, including a critically acclaimed recording of Shostakovich's Symphony No. 4. Wellber has also conducted many other prestigious orchestras around the world, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
