Karolos Trikolidis was born on January 15, 1985, in Athens, Greece. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Trikolidis showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Trikolidis received his formal music education at the Athens Conservatory, where he studied piano performance under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Dimitris Toufexis. He later continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany, where he studied with pianist and professor Pierre-Laurent Aimard. Throughout his career, Trikolidis has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of Trikolidis's most notable performances was his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic in 2012, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor" concerto.
