Felicia Sandler was born on May 12, 1965, in Vienna, Austria. Her parents were both musicians, and her father was a renowned conductor. From a young age, Sandler was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. She showed a natural talent for music and quickly became a prodigy. Sandler's parents recognized her talent and began to nurture it. They enrolled her in music lessons and encouraged her to practice for hours every day. Sandler's dedication paid off, and by the age of ten, she had already composed her first piece of music. Sandler's parents were supportive of her musical ambitions, but they also wanted her to have a well-rounded education. They enrolled her in a prestigious private school in Vienna, where she excelled academically. Sandler continued to study music outside of school, and by the time she was a teenager, she had already performed in several concerts and recitals. In 1983, Sandler was accepted into the Vienna Conservatory of Music, where she studied composition under the tutelage of some of the most renowned composers of the time. She continued to excel academically and musically, and by the time she graduated in 1987, she had already composed several pieces of music that had been performed in concerts throughout Austria. After graduating from the conservatory, Sandler began to focus on her career as a composer. She moved to Paris, where she studied under some of the most renowned composers of the time. She also began to travel extensively, attending concerts and performances throughout Europe and the United States. Sandler's music was heavily influenced by the classical composers of the past, but she also incorporated modern elements into her compositions. Her music was known for its complexity and depth, and she was praised for her ability to create music that was both beautiful and thought-provoking. Sandler's first major work was a symphony that she composed in 1990. The symphony was well-received by critics and audiences alike, and it established Sandler as a major force in the world of classical music. Over the next few years, Sandler continued to compose music, and her works were performed in concerts and recitals throughout Europe and the United States. In 1995, Sandler was commissioned to compose a piece of music for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The piece, titled "Vienna Dreams," was a tribute to the city where Sandler had been born and raised. The piece was a huge success, and it was performed by orchestras around the world. Sandler continued to compose music throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
