Pezin's career as a musician began in the 1960s when he started playing with various jazz and pop bands in France. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented guitarist and was soon in demand as a session musician. He played on many recordings for French artists, including Johnny Hallyday, Michel Polnareff, and Claude François. In the 1970s, Pezin started to focus more on classical music and began performing as a soloist. He released his first solo album, "Guitar Recital," in 1973, which showcased his virtuosity and musicality. The album was well-received by critics and helped to establish Pezin as a leading classical guitarist. Throughout his career, Pezin performed at many prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. He also performed with many renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Orchestre de Paris. One of Pezin's most memorable performances was at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1978. He performed a solo guitar piece that was so moving that the audience gave him a standing ovation. The performance was recorded and released as a live album, "Slim Pezin at Montreux," which became one of his most popular recordings. Pezin was also a prolific composer and wrote many pieces for the guitar. His compositions were influenced by his love of jazz and classical music and often featured intricate melodies and harmonies.
