Role:PerformerDimitri Petkov was born on May 15, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was born into a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Dimitri showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Dimitri's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Dimitri had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigy. In 1996, Dimitri's family moved to Vienna, Austria, where he continued his musical education. He enrolled in the Vienna Conservatory and studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Paul Badura-Skoda. Dimitri's talent continued to flourish under Badura-Skoda's guidance, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the most promising young pianists in Europe. In 2003, Dimitri won first prize at the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna, which marked a turning point in his career. The competition was highly prestigious, and winning it brought Dimitri international recognition. He was invited to perform at several major concert halls across Europe, including the Musikverein in Vienna and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Over the next few years, Dimitri continued to build his reputation as a world-class pianist. He performed with several major orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic and the Berlin Philharmonic, and collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors of the time, such as Daniel Barenboim and Sir Simon Rattle.
