Cree Carrico is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself in the industry with her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. Born on May 12, 1992, in San Francisco, California, Carrico grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a very young age. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a cellist, and they both encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Carrico started playing the piano when she was just four years old and showed a natural talent for the instrument. She began taking formal lessons at the age of six and quickly progressed to more advanced pieces. By the time she was ten, she had already won several local competitions and was recognized as a prodigy in the Bay Area music scene. As Carrico grew older, she became more interested in classical music and began studying under some of the most renowned teachers in the country. She attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with acclaimed pianist and pedagogue, Mack McCray. She also studied with renowned pianist and teacher, Seymour Lipkin, at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Carrico's talent and dedication to her craft soon began to pay off, and she started to receive recognition for her performances. In 2010, she won the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition, which led to her performing with the orchestra at Davies Symphony Hall. She also won the Pacific Musical Society Competition and the Young Pianist's Beethoven Competition, both of which helped to establish her as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2012, Carrico made her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City, where she performed as part of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition Winners' Recital. She also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as part of the National Symphony Orchestra's Young Soloists' Competition. Carrico's talent and hard work continued to be recognized, and she was awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship in 2013. The scholarship provided her with financial support to continue her studies at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2016. Since graduating, Carrico has continued to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Salle Cortot in Paris. She has also performed with some of the most renowned orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra. Carrico's performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, musicality, and emotional depth. She has been described as a "virtuoso pianist" and a "musical poet" by critics and audiences alike. Her repertoire includes works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. In addition to her performances, Carrico is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught piano at the Curtis Institute of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has worked with young musicians through various outreach programs. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with others and inspiring the next generation of classical musicians. Carrico's talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her career.
