Natalie Michaud is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Montreal, Canada, Natalie showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Natalie's musical journey began with her enrollment in the music program at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. She studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Marc Durand, who recognized her exceptional talent and potential. Natalie's dedication and hard work paid off when she won the prestigious Prix d'Europe competition in 2007, which is awarded to the best young musicians in Canada. After completing her studies at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, Natalie continued her education at the Juilliard School in New York City. She studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Emanuel Ax, who helped her refine her skills and develop her unique style. During her time at Juilliard, Natalie won several awards and accolades, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in 2010. Natalie's talent and hard work have led to numerous performances in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonic, among others. Her performances have been praised for their technical brilliance, emotional depth, and musicality. One of Natalie's most memorable performances was her debut with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra in 2012. She performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor" concerto, to critical acclaim. The Montreal Gazette praised her performance, saying, "Michaud's playing was technically flawless, but it was her musicality that truly shone through. She brought a depth of emotion to the piece that was truly breathtaking." Natalie has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned conductors and musicians. In addition to her performances, Natalie is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. She has taught masterclasses at the Juilliard School, the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, and the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
