Marina Chiche is a renowned classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a violinist and chamber musician. Born in Paris, France, in 1983, Chiche began playing the violin at the age of four. Her parents, both musicians, recognized her talent early on and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Chiche studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she received her diploma with honors. She then went on to study with renowned violinists such as Ivry Gitlis, Maxim Vengerov, and Shlomo Mintz. Chiche's career as a soloist began in 2005 when she won the first prize at the International Violin Competition of Sion-Valais in Switzerland. This was a major turning point in her career, as it opened up many doors for her and led to numerous performance opportunities. Since then, Chiche has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition to her solo career, Chiche is also a highly sought-after chamber musician. She has collaborated with many of the world's leading musicians, including pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and violinist Renaud Capuçon. Chiche is a member of the Trio Karénine, which she founded in 2009 with pianist Paloma Kouider and cellist Louis Rodde. The trio has won numerous awards, including the first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2013. Chiche's repertoire is vast and includes works from the Baroque era to contemporary music. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of French composers such as Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Camille Saint-Saëns. Chiche is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the Haute École de Musique de Genève. She is currently a professor at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in Switzerland. In addition to her musical career, Chiche is also a committed philanthropist. She is the founder of the association "Les Musiciens du Coeur," which brings together musicians to perform in hospitals and nursing homes for patients and residents.
