Urszula Stawicka is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on December 12, 1981, in Warsaw, Poland, Urszula showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Urszula's musical journey began at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Alicja Paleta-Bugaj. She graduated with honors in 2005, receiving a Master's degree in Piano Performance. During her studies, Urszula participated in numerous competitions and won several awards, including the 1st Prize at the National Piano Competition in Konin in 2001 and the 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome in 2003. After completing her studies, Urszula continued to hone her skills and gain experience by participating in various music festivals and masterclasses. She attended the International Piano Academy in Imola, Italy, where she studied with renowned pianists such as Boris Petrushansky, Leonid Margarius, and Lilya Zilberstein. She also participated in the International Piano Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she worked with Professor Arie Vardi. Urszula's talent and hard work paid off when she won the 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in San Marino in 2007. This was a significant achievement for Urszula, as the competition was highly competitive, with participants from all over the world. Her performance was praised for its technical brilliance, musicality, and emotional depth. Since then, Urszula has performed in numerous concerts and recitals in Poland and abroad. She has collaborated with renowned orchestras, including the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine. She has also performed in prestigious venues such as the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. One of Urszula's most memorable performances was her debut at the Carnegie Hall in 2010. She performed a solo recital, which included works by Chopin, Beethoven, and Schumann. Her performance was met with critical acclaim, with The New York Times describing her as "a pianist of exceptional talent and sensitivity." Urszula's repertoire is diverse, ranging from classical to contemporary music. She has a particular affinity for the works of Chopin, and her interpretations of his music have been praised for their sensitivity and emotional depth. She has also performed works by other composers such as Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. In addition to her performances, Urszula is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Academy of Music in Krakow. In 2012, she was awarded the Medal for Merit to Culture - Gloria Artis by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
