One of the highlights of the Continental Theatre Orchestra's career was their performance at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. The ensemble was chosen to perform at the opening ceremony, where they played a medley of classical music pieces that included works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. The performance was a huge success and helped to establish the Continental Theatre Orchestra as one of the premier classical music ensembles in the world. Another major performance for the Continental Theatre Orchestra was their 2001 tour of Japan.
