Evgenia-Maria Popova is a classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist and composer. Born on May 22, 1987, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Popova showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Popova's early musical education was at the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where she studied piano with Professor Milena Mollova. She continued her studies at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Professor Stella Dimitrova. Popova then went on to earn a Master's degree in Piano Performance from the same institution, studying with Professor Milena Mollova. Popova's talent as a pianist was recognized early on, and she began performing in public at the age of six. She won her first competition at the age of eight, and by the time she was a teenager, she had won numerous awards and prizes in national and international competitions. Some of her most notable awards include first prize at the International Piano Competition "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia, Bulgaria, and first prize at the International Piano Competition "Citta di Barletta" in Italy. Popova's talent as a composer was also recognized early on, and she began composing music at the age of 12. She has since written numerous works for piano, chamber ensembles, and orchestra.
