Born on May 15, 1985, in Chisinau, Moldova, Palii showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue her passion for music. Palii's early years were spent studying music at the Chisinau Music School, where she received a solid foundation in classical piano. She quickly distinguished herself as a gifted musician, winning numerous awards and competitions. In 2001, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Bucharest, Romania, and in 2002, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Kiev, Ukraine. Palii's success in these competitions led to opportunities to perform in major concert halls throughout Europe. In 2003, she made her debut at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, where she performed a solo recital to critical acclaim. She also performed at the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Royal Festival Hall in London, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. Palii's talent as a composer also began to emerge during this time. She began writing her own music and incorporating it into her performances. Her compositions were well-received by audiences and critics alike, and she was soon recognized as a composer of great promise. In 2005, Palii moved to the United States to continue her studies at the Juilliard School in New York City. There, she studied with renowned pianist and teacher Yoheved Kaplinsky, who helped her refine her technique and develop her musical style. Palii also continued to compose, and her works were performed by fellow students and faculty members at Juilliard. After graduating from Juilliard in 2009, Palii embarked on a career as a soloist and composer. She has performed in major concert halls throughout the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. She has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Palii's compositions have also received widespread recognition. In 2012, she won the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award for her piece "Piano Sonata No. 1." Her music has been performed by numerous orchestras and ensembles, and she has been commissioned to write works for a variety of occasions and events.
